BidAlert.com was created to serve the growing need for information that general contractors, architects/engineers, subcontractors and suppliers have. We specialize in private-sector commercial construction. BidAlert.com enjoys a strategic partnership with DEC International, Inc., one of the leading construction, real estate and business data specialists in the southeast. The BidAlert.com founders have leveraged their many years of experience along with research and online database expertise to create a more efficient, user-friendly approach to finding and reporting hard-to-find commercial construction leads. BidAlert.com is based in Georgia and employs experts in the dynamic construction markets of the Southeast.

Our experienced research team is in constant contact with the active Owner/Developers, Designers, Engineers and General Contractors through all of the regulatory, zoning, funding, planning and bidding processes in order to be the first to deliver time sensitive project information to our BidAlert.com members. We won’t waste your time with public jobs that you can find easily on your own. Our researchers have been trained to find the elusive private-sector projects from their inception and track them through each phase (pre-plan to bid) – keeping you informed and ready to bid. Our information is only valuable to you if it is accurate and actionable. We promise not to waste your time!

Who are we?

Allan Feifer, Founder and CEO

Allan Feifer was an original co-founder of DEC International in 1976. He is a Georgia native with strong ties to the construction industry and has been involved with construction projects of all kinds here in Georgia and as far away as Latin America and the Middle East. Allan is always pushing technology to do more for the construction industry and his passion for excellence led him to create BidAlert.com. Allan’s love for adventure and all-things technical began with flying airplanes when he was 13 years old. He has been flying ever since.

Jim Rowlette, Founder and COO

Jim Rowlette was one of the “big idea” guys behind the launch of BidAlert.com along with the information service products of DEC International. Jim’s career in the construction field has included being the president of a large roofing materials manufacturer and a kitchen & bath fixture manufacturer in Arizona. Jim has also managed a high-end commercial and residential remodeling contracting businesses. Jim brings his vast understanding of the construction industry to bear on the data collection field. These days, Jim still enjoys remodeling projects along with the great out-of-doors on the golf course.

Nancy Ray, Editor

Nancy is our chief researcher and editor. She has been uncovering private sector jobs in the southeast for almost 20 years! She and her dedicated team have relationships with architects, general contractors, owners, government and other contacts who share vital information with them on an ongoing basis. They have perfected a system for following up on projects and uncovering emerging information in an extremely timely and efficient system. In addition to a nose for news, Nancy also has a weakness for cats. She and her husband have rescued many over the years and are currently spoiling two in their home now.

David Kochan, VP of Information Technology

David Kochan has worked in the information technology field since 1994. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in Technology Management and a minor in Computer Science. David has written articles for computer magazines, has spoken at computer conferences and ran several e-commerce businesses. He designed the system architecture behind BidAlert.com and helped build BidAlert.com. David is the father of two young children and also owns Incredible Inflatables, a moonwalk rental business based out of Norcross, GA.

Chuck Akins, Director of Marketing

Chuck Akins is our Director of Marketing. He brings a wealth of experience in both the construction and engineering fields. Chuck brings not only a strong marketing background, but also a technical background.  He lives in Atlanta with his wife and young son.
